This is very Pommard in style, especially coming after a series
of excellent Volnays. Sometimes a Pommard made in Volnay
takes on a more Volnaysien bent, but not this one. True to
its origins, it’s sturdy and masculine with no apology for its
youthful gruffness. It finishes well and, given time, will no doubt
be impressive.
