2021 Saini Vineyard Chenin Blanc, Leo Steen

These thirty nine year old vines are planted in sandy loam soils in Dry Creek Valley. Living up to the name, they are dry farmed and following on from fermentation they are aged in a combination of neutral French oak and concrete eggs. This wine has alluring weight and richness, aromas of lemonpeel, Chamomile, crushed rocks and mint. The palate offers a silky texture and a medley of white flower, lemon salt, and almond notes that carry through to a lingering refreshing finish with subtle mineral notes.
