2022 Maranges Vignes Blanches, Domaine Simon Colin

Maranges is found right at the southern end of the Côte d’Or and is probably known more for its reds than its whites, which is perhaps not surprising given the soil make up of most of the area, which is generally dominated by clay. However, there are pockets of interesting limestone and, as the name suggests, Vignes Blanches is one of those vineyards with just such a pocket.
