In 2000, at just 20 years of age, Jean-Baptiste stepped up to the plate and took over the family business and now farms about 10.5 hectares. This wine is the richer of the two 1ers Crus, coming from a mid-hill plot where there is a little more clay. Aged 16 months in oak (20% new), there is an appealing spicy richness to the mid-palate, balanced by an incredible freshness.
