2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses, Domaine du Clos Frantin

This is one of the truly great vineyards of Burgundy producing some of its very best, most emotive wines. The Bichot version is wonderfully lush and evocative with great aromatic confidence and expression and real fruit intensity in the mouth. Red and blue fruit fight for dominance and the tannins are glossy and well-integrated. Touches of oak spice (50% new oak) add further flavour layers and the finish is long and rich. Very limited.
