2024 Feudo Pignatone Sciauro Etna Rosato, Emiliano Falsini

Straw coloured with flecks of gold and just a hint of pale pink, this is as much a blanc de noirs as it is a rosato. Sciauro means perfumed, and this is certainly aromatically complex, with summer fruit, garrigues and salty aromas, but it really comes alive on the palate which is exceptionally energetic yet controlled. Shimmering acidity and salinity combine with impressive concentration. Drink from summer 2025, but don’t be afraid to tuck away a bottle or two and marvel at how gloriously the ‘24 will age.
