2023 Rully 1er Cru Clos du Chapitre, Domaine Jaeger-Defaix

This is a wine of remarkable complexity and depth, albeit one with plenty of freshness and lift. It’s a great illustration of why we’re so excited about the Côte Chalonnaise – and why you should be too. It hails from one of the region’s top producers and top 1er Cru sites; the monopole Clos du Chapitre in Rully. Expect aromas of blackberry and savoury spice, and lovely line and length on the palate, with exceptionally fine tannins (a hallmark of the Clos).
