2023 Pommard 1er Cru Les Argilières, Domaine Lejeune

This is another superb premier cru, sitting on the other side of the village, just above Les Grands Épenots. There are surprisingly floral, seductive aromatics in abundance, and it feels really quite expressive initially, before its underlying power assumes dominance and imparts a more classical Pommard character. This all suggests a long life ahead.
