2021 Vosne-Romanée Aux Réas, Cyprien Arlaud

This is a large climat and though not owned by Cyprien, he has been in charge of the vineyard since 2013 which has been certified organic since 2019. It has a loyal following among our customers as it always overperforms, but 2021 may be the best vintage yet. Cyprien acknowledges that the quality of the wine is increasing year on year and attributes this to the health of the vineyard increasing as it adapts to organic viticulture. The work Cyprien puts into this vineyard is the same as for his own vineyards. The 2021 is medium bodied, but sumptuous with crushed strawberry fruit, succulent cranberries and perfumed rose petal with hints of white pepper and a fine tannin structure.
